About Himmler's Double (continued)
Himmler's methodical planning had led to a
secret numbered Swiss bank account being opened in 1943. He realized that his
best survival chance would lie in a country other than Germany and he cunningly located the means of travel where
others would not look.
After the suicide of his double, logically no
one should continue to search for Himmler when his 'death' is officially
announced. Eventually, Himmler and his aide arrive in post-war Britain to take up their role as 'refugees' at the home of
one of Himmler's agents.
All goes well until a few years after his arrival in Britain, Himmler tries, at long distance, to move
money out of his Swiss account and this comes to the attention of Jewish Nazi hunters.
Himmler could be hiding anywhere and frequently moving, it is Himmler's own vanity that eventually gives the Nazi
hunters the clues that they need to track him down.
A 'Cat and mouse' situation then occurs which ultimately leads to the unforeseen finalization of events.
